About
Office of HIV/AIDS Policy and Community Planning
The Office of HIV/AIDS Policy and Community Planning organizes and supports the activities of the HIV Planning Council and oversees AIDS-related policy issues for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Coordinators assist with the administrative process and help the different committees of the HIV Planning Council carry out their responsibilities. The staff members facilitate the preparation of needs assessments and the comprehensive plan for HIV services needed in the New York EMA. The coordinators also serve as a liaison to the community by planning community forums, attending special events, and visiting programs that provide services to the HIV/AIDS community.
